Sorry that happened to you and your brother. I grew up in small white neighborhood up north not too far from the black one. Didn't think of myself as poor but we were and never thought of myself as white trash. Knew some guys who thought it would be great sport to mount a machine gun on the hood of a car and go into the black neighborhoods. They were white trash. I kinda think they "grew up", at least I hope they did. You say that you were trying to make a buck selling cokes along with those 20 blacks...were they black trash too? And btw, were there any blacks sitting in the stands of those UT games in the 50s and 60s? And what would have happened if those 20 blacks had been given tickets by some generous soul and they had gone into the stadium, and set down together? Also, what the blacks did to you and your brother is not what I would call racism...I don't like it nor would want it to happen to me but maybe in your case it was just "business?".
