The Daily Show pounded Obama for reversing course on public campaign financing. He deserves it. Yes, he can raise much more money than McCain and yes, he will need it to set the record straight against the lies on Fox Fictional News, Hate Radio and a new book coming in August from the publisher of The Swift Boat Liars. Still, he should have known all along that he would need a ton of money to take on the GOP Slime Machine. Now, it's going to be hard to make the moral argument that McCain has flip-flopped on every major issue since Obama is also guilty of flip-flopping on one.
