This nation is on its knees. The greedy bastards are taking full advantage whether it is the mortgage crisis causing the fall in the dollar and increase in the price of oil. Couple this with China drawing up a trade surplus and then using their dollars to drive up oil prices whether they need it or not (Olympics or no Olympics.) And the oil demand in India is miniscule compared to US consumption.

And this Administration is scolding us and exploiting it to push their case for drilling in ANWR. Recall Bill Clinton releasing oil from the reserves in 98 to thwart the rise in prices.

We criticized the Iraqi members of Parliament when they took off on their summer break last year. I would be curious to know if Bush is going to take his yearly vacation and leave this country to fend for itself.

Where is the outrage? The voters need to send McCain packing to talk to Bush and bring him out to explain to the people what his plan is to address this crisis of rising oil prices coupled with food prices etc.

Raising the price of oil in china may actually increases the demand for oil. Weird, but as oil was subsidized by the government refineries were hurting. Now they can import more oil as they can make a profit.
