There are so many examples in science of the consensus being wrong. For that reason alone I can't fathom how everyone is buying into the GW thing because the consensus was in. If we just go with a vote and consensus the world would still be flight for crying out loud.

What we are forgetting is that perhaps some of the 31,000+ (including Dr Fred Singer) have some of the right answer. Maybe the Gore/Hansen/Soros 2500+ group has some of it too. Who knows.

What we have NOT had is any "town hall" type meetings on the subject....A chance for the average tax paying citizen to hear the pros and cons of the various issues on whether there is climate change or not. We haven't heard much of anything about any of the similar phenomenon that happened over the eons.

And worse yet, most people are willing to believe the headlines, and willingly run off the cliff, just like lemmings.
