Around here they have twice a year a collection day for junk tech stuff for free. There are also companies that do this but would likely have a small charge. Here's some in Denver.

Or there is my wife's way and that is to hide it somewhere that our kids will have to deal with it when they move us to the nursing home drooling on ourselves:)
