Well, I've come around to the idea that the $300 million prize idea is a gimmick, especially given that all of the VCs in Silicon Valley have already invested billions in alternative energy and batteries. So $300 million is a drop in the bucket compared to what is already invested and is already at stake. Therefore, it won't do anything other than provide psychological sympathies with McCain for the less informed.
