I never suggested it is "easy". Clearly, AQ has been making every effort to do so for more than a decade.

But it isn't impossible. And the probability isn't particularly remote. There are plenty of them out there, the possibility of them building their own (CJ's remarks notwithstanding) is reasonable, and that's why there is such interest amongst anti-terrorism specialists in the subject.

It isn't just me you're arguing with here; the entire terrorism community believes it is a legitimate threat. In fact, the only people who seem to NOT believe it poses a serious threat are the liberals, who have been so well-protected by their arch-nemesis George Bush for the last 7 years.
