Gambling Industry Solidly Behind McCain/GOP abcnews.go.com One more example of how the industries which need to be regulated and watch-dogged most for the public safety and good are flocking to the corporate rightwing GOP. Now we know why Reagan talked down having a strong government, because he and his cronies wanted all these noxious industries to be able to do anything they wanted to us. The first big test was resulted in the S+L debacle. We should have learned. Industryu needs to be regulated, esp. big oil, pollutors, banks, health care, gambling, tobacco, weapons, etc. all the GOP's top donors.
