Legislative earmarks are a scourge as they are used to hold up needed legislation, often defense legislation, by being added to the bill with the goal of blocking the legislation.

Democrats are pros at adding on all of their earmarks----you know the Dems are the tax and spend party.

McCain is correct-------serious consideration of a bill and vote it up or down without playing the game of earmarks---pork.

Sure states have legitimate needs-----but less put them on the table separately, not as earmarks to important critical legislation.

Sounds like a winner to me.

But you did not answer my question: "What would Obama do if confronted with a 911 style attack?"

I don't expect you to know. He doesn't either.
