"Is this trip really necessary"?
That is what my mommy asked me after I ODed on LSD. We must be same age.

No persuasion: only price teaches lesson. Stuff must cost to be used wisely. That's why I am against all kinds of political pricing and subsidies.

Economics is nothing more than setting people's perceptions.

The energy waste by Americans is absolutely astounding, especially electricity. I feel no sympathy whatsoever for people who complain about high gasoline and utility costs. My dirt poor brother in law has $250 a month electric bills he is constantly complaining about. I always want to tell him "If you guys didn't leave all your lights on 24 hours a day your bill would be lower!". I even gave them compact flourescent lights in a futile effort to help them. They don't use them. I asked why. They didn't like the color of the light.

Used to have sympathy for the poor but experience has changed me. High energy bills? F*k you, it's your own fault. Quit whining!
