CC, It is not the environment they care about. It is getting elected. For them to get elected their formula includes radical environmentalists. It is a pander for power that is easy when you do not have to govern. That reality is about to change. As they were desperate to lose last year in Iraq they they will are desperate to blame high energy prices on Bush. If the public wakes up before November the pander may fail. Both issues could turn against the party of NO by November.

Well there is some warped consistency when you consider that there is a movement by mayors in the US to eschew products derived from the oilsands for municipal vehicles ... I can't wait to see those new labels... oilsands free product LOL

I assume you are referring to The US revolution time period...a time in which slavery was a common practice. Knowing the board's predilection for avoiding all things political I won't mention names or parties. However, the US has finely honed the practice of having others provide for us at their expense for generations now.
