altie-

your life is full - very nice :)

my dad built a little place on georgian bay
40 years ago. they used to spend the summers
there fishing and then a few months in florida
during the worst of the winter - fishing <g>

my mom sold the cottage when dad died.

i love it when the hydro goes down cuz it makes
burning candles and lamps legit and we've
had quite a few of those occasions lately, but
i haven't played parcheesi in years. you just
took me back 50 years.

The growth around Toronto continues....with the exception of Newmarket farm lands, it is all developed from Toronto to Barre....then it gets more remote as you head towards the Bay.

uggg!

i'm glad i'm not there to see it.
barrie used to be a destination spot when i
was a kid. even when we lived in unionville
before heading out west, there was farmland
separating us from the city. it really
was very nice back then.

enjoy the game tonight. i've only been to
one major league game and that was at the
old stadium in seattle, but i've been to
plenty of minor league games at nat bailey
stadium in vancouver where they still sing
'take me out to the ballgame' during the
7th inning stretch. it was muchos fun :)

i'll be watching the first of the soccer
semi-finals this afternoon between germany
(the force) and the surprise-who-made-it-thus-far
team from turkey.

speaking of soccer, sarah sent me an email
regarding a confrontation she had with her
coach - boy, she's a tiger! i'll ask her if
i can share it - its quite a read.

a19-

A20's mom commented at dinner, "the middle to late 80's is not for sissies".

thanks for sharing that...

as a late 50's semi-invalid it'll encourage me to
suck it up and quit whining about my little aches and pains.
