Drove up to BC, across to Banff/Jasper, down thru Waterton. Ugly, rained a lot, the Canadian Army was stuck in a ditch, and the only good thing was the tomato soup in Waterton.

No, absolutely far out gorgeous, but that was B4 I saw Alaska.
It rained a lot, but we were coming off 3 years of drought, and that was good. Spent a few days tent-bound. But we ran into a young lady Steve knew from home, who had an oz of weed she gave us, and we felt compelled to finish it before we crossed the border again, so that was OK.
But the army was stuck, and the soup was the best I've ever had.

Later years, made a trip up to BC to watch the Tour de Delta

and catch a boat to Alaska.

and, in college, to Windsor/Kitchner/Waterloo.
