Mr Obama had better not dare to wish too much.Canada just might take him at his word and decide to sell our "dirty oil" to China. If he gets elected by slamming oil sands, then the gas lines now in China my go away, but form in the US instead. He thinks taxing oil companies might prompt God into putting more oil in the earth.I think if America elects him the gas station sign will have a $10 on it.

So he's gonna tax oil sands made in Alberta? A neat trick. Simply refine it in Canada and ship products.....to China if necessary. I imagine this will go a long way towards getting that pipeline built from Alberta to BC.

Looks like it's gas lines and rationing for us in the lower 48 next 4 years....whoever is advising Obama on energy (and recoing corn Ethanol, no drilling, windfall taxes and now this) is doing one hell of a piss-poor job. <NG>

He DOES know Canada is the 2nd largest source of oil imported in the US, doesn't he?

>>"It's a meritocracy. We are going to support resources that diversify petroleum supplies, that bring more production to this hemisphere, and that meet our long-term obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions," he said.<<

This part is a nice fantasy....we'll be supporting anyone who can send us oil in the next 4 years produced by any means possible.<NG>

Let me get this straight - Obama plans to waive his magic wand and create some vast amounts of alternative energy in no time

"The possibilities of renewable energy are limitless," Mr. Obama said

And then he is going to try to impose regulations on a sovereign country and piss off our most reliable, friendly source of oil while not increasing drilling in the US and watching gas prices skyrocket and supply shrink.

Ummm, ok
