It's a whole bunch of things that allow people to be successful.

To those who've got theirs and lack a well defined social conscience, the government is only an obstacle to getting more, and the more liberal the form of government the bigger the obstacle.

The government is there to provide order to our society. It is a necessary evil. Structuring it so it gets out of the way, treats people fairly and lets the free market dictate individual success is an ongoing challenge.
