I don't mind paying my fair share. But I resent being required to pay others' fair shares, too. You don't want to pay for the war, but national defense is one of the FEW legitimate things the federal government does. If you don't want to pay for something, how about let's make it those things that our Constitution didn't anticipate -- like the Welfare State, retirement benefits for the aged, health insurance for people who don't want it or need it, or a Dept. Of Education which knows only how to meddle in the affairs of people who want nothing to do with them.
