I think Obama would want a thread where thinking is encouraged.

I used to think of us as fish living 5 miles at the bottom of the ocean. Someone drops a can over the boat and it drifts to the bottom.

Now our task is to understand Los Angelous from that one piece of evidence. As Einstein said: " it is amazing we can even think of the universe" paraphrased-lol.

Physics professors say the theory of parallel universes is not just some wild idea, the math leads right to it.

Quantum physics is surely wonderful magic. Only magic I ever found.

However, one thing I take on faith is that what God created for us is far more elaborate and fantastic than any human mind can comprehend. I would bet that the things we will discover in the next 100 years will seem magical to people of our generation and will force us to redefine what we call human and what we believe constitutes self-awareness. I only hope I live long enough to see these things come to pass.

Its funny what you're saying about magical things in the future........I was watching a commercial last nite and they were doing all that they do in commercials. Its not photoshopping but the digital equivalent.....a woman's leg went from having cactus needles on it to flowers. People in commercials are forever morphing into something different from animal to human to inanimate object. It suddently dawned on me that some time in humanity's distant future, assuming it survives, people will be able to change shape at will. And it occurred to me that I would love living in that time. <g>
