Interesting..I have not even a fleeting memory of Dukakis in that tank..I know I was paying attention and had a TV at the time..unlike other stretches of time when I did without one.. Running against Hillary was really hard..besides being a very strong-willed candidate, excellent in the debates, talking policy; running against the first woman who defaulted to the victimization card(who really knows if she really felt victimized or was just using it to rally her base)...I think it's amazing that Obama was able to finesse his opposition to Hillary the way he did..lesser candidates would have either caved or made a terrible gaffe like her senate race rival did.. And I acknowledge this because Obama knew full well her under-the-radar fusion with the right wing talking heads and writers..Sid Blumenthal dutifully delivering them..and her groundworkers disseminating them while canvassing..
