Well so far the volatility in PSS is working to lower my basis.. I like to pick a theme ... In this case shoes are almost like food... Gotta have them.. but in tough times.. you wear shoes that the cast of Sex and City wouldn't be caught dead in :O) When I can trade around a core position to reduce basis, so much the better, but I don't just keep adding to a losing position either... (been there done that, capital preservation is becoming a dominant theme for me now that I have some :O)

Well, I decided to join the shoe business today with a small purchase of NKE. ;) OK, it's not shoe business really. ;) NKE is somewhat cheap using ROE based metrics though it's somewhat expensive based on PE and (lack of) growth. (Note that 26% income increase in 2008 is mostly due to one-time items). Still a great company and Buffett holding, so I got in and will see if I want to get more in the future.
