VINTER, did it ever occur to you that some people can figure things out just fine with the exposure we have had. 16 months of intese campaigning. A million speeches.

And not to get to esoteric, but there is a science called sociobiology which has shown certain peope read other people better and faster.

Scientific American also has a great article on the expert mind. It takes ten years. I am a pretty good poker player. When I sit dowen to a game I can see the game pretty quickly and read the players quickly. Less than an hour I pretty much have most games figured out.

I have been looking at Obama for 2 years now and I have spent 30 years in politics. I study politics like some people study gardening-lol.

I have been wrong many times, but not usually about people. I have few talents, but I read people pretty well.

I have studied people my whole life. Have a degree in psychology and philosophy. I am very curious about my existence.

This guy is smart, and decent. He thinks before he speaks and he has shown acadmeically he is up to the mark!

>>people here, not just you, are too ready to anoint Obama to Saint Hood just on the basis of his potential.<<

No, they're just ready to vote for him for President.

It's a unique job. No candidate, other than an incumbent, can offer more than potential.

on the basis of his potential

Yes, Obama has potential, and that means there is HOPE for the country.

OTOH McCain has shown all what he had done. And the pictures are not pretty.

Which one would you choose?

It's not potential. He's already proven that he can bring results to main street through his 8 years in the state legislature and through his years organizing. Only cynics like yourself ignore his background to make your baseless point.

Conversely, you also ignore Hillary's inability to make progress on Healthcare during 8 years she took point on it with the full backing of the White House. Not only that, but you ignore her failure to win the nomination when she had more name recognition and an almost insurmountable polling lead than any candidate in history. She lost it due to incompetence and obvious pandering. Gee, I wonder why I don't think she is effective?
