The big problem with the World Trade Center buildings is that they were all designed in various ways to allow a large open interior space. This means the integrity of the side walls were critical to holding the buildings up.

I watched "3 Days of the Condor" again after many years. It has some amazing shots of the twin towers inside and out including some scenes shot inside the ground floor lobby. The most amazing part of the movie though is the last scene when Redford's character almost prophetically spells out the foreign policy of the US in the middle east for the next 30 years. How was it possible in 1975 to be so accurate? This movie was made in 1975 and I was able to get it through Netflix.
