Any of us can list an arbitrary selection of government and quasi-government agencies. The question is how do the HELP people who are trying to run a business?

The FTC which you listed, for example, is chronically in the way. What does it do to HELP business? Please tell me what the Commerce Department does to HELP business. I see very little here that is of value to the typical business person. Yes, a some people have copyrights that need to be protected -- a fundamental function of government.

But to try and suggest that we get value from the Bureau of Economic Analysis is nonsense. I spend two hours a year completing their paperwork (under all manner of threats if I refuse to respond, which I normally do at least twice) and what do I get in return? Not shit.

You haven't made your case, unless the case you're trying to make is that government is a huge bureaucracy that has at least ONE department suitable for interfering with the life of every man, woman, and child in the country.

Only a government employee could see value in this crap.
