I have been saying for probably 5 years that GM is bankrupt they just haven't admitted it yet. They will have to at some point I have little doubt.

There is a part of me that isn't minding these high fuel prices. I'm no green but I have to tell you I've been saying for some years now that it is absurd for all of these folks to be driving around in full sized Suburbans and what not just to go get groceries. Everyone is driving around in full sized 4 wheel drives that get sub 15 mpg. It really doesn't make any sense. And from a purely selfish side of me perhaps if only the people buying trucks are people who truly need them we can start buying the damn things for less then 40K. When I started in the car business in the early 80's just before the truck craze the only trucks we kept on the lots were work trucks. Contractors and farmers were the only buyers. Now everyone has one.
