So? He, Shorty and Harris have been pretending that has been your stance from the beginning. Why should they change now? Because it irritates me? No, that just encourages them. They all argue against some "ideal liberal" that they have built in their ideological mythology. And no matter what you say, they know deep in your heart you are this "ideal liberal". So they are not arguing with you... they are arguing with their own imagination. It's bizarre.
