One thing I do like about O'Reilly is I often find his program quite entertaining so if you take him on that level perhaps no damage done.

I worry though that something like 85% of his audience consider themselves "Conservative". Thats unfortunate in that most of those must be gobbling up his misinformation as gospel. For instance one tactic he loves to employ is wait until an "illegal immigrant" inevitably gets charged with some crime. After all there are something like 18 million of them so statistically its always just a matter of time. When it does occur he makes a big emotional fuss about it - he loves when a drunk Mexican kills a pretty young American while drunk driving -and I'm sure the end result is just a stereotyping and hardening of attitudes against immigrants. This emotional type fuss does not contribute to an honest unemotional appraisal of the real issues. If O'Reilly's aim is to try to make dumbasses think in a certain way then I do think he succeeds to some extent. Thats the problem though - he acts as if his goal is to inform but really he's just pushing an agenda and isn't above stooping to propaganda like techniques to do so. Its ironic to anyone but an imbecile that he calls his show a "no spin zone".

Its no wonder the country is so polarized with so much absolute garbage from both ends of the spectrum. I suppose some people just want to hear a reinforcement of their sometimes misconceptions. I rarely agree with Fox but I do watch it fairly regularly to see what the other side is thinking.

Ironically Fox actually helps harden some of my liberal viewpoints because a lot of what they do is moronic. I mean "terrorist fist jab" and Obama's "baby mama" just makes them look like fools.
