skeeter,

>define "few" please.<

I know of no one among my family, friends, or co-workers that considered second hand smoke a health risk until the last 5-10 years. I didn't (and still think it's way overhyped by the anti smoke nazis) and I stay on top of things like this. Before that, it was mostly an inconvenience/annoyance to non smokers and inconvenience/annoyance to smokers if they couldn't smoke freely.

I recall every single company I ever worked for (going back to the early 80s before any laws) trying to make accommodations for both smokers and non-smokers. I don't recall a single complaint over 27 years other than about 1 cigar smoker.

I also know of no restrictions on anyone against opening a smoke free establishment anywhere in the U.S. where smoking is currently not banned. If there actually was market for it, it would be done because people will do virtually anything for money. Maybe you should open one.

The market will not accommodate "you" and "your" desires. It will accommodate the needs and desires of society as a whole in proportion to those needs and desires. If you consider that a failure, so bet it. I suggest you find a totalitarian country to live in where they will accommodate what you specifically believe the needs of society are and enjoy the smoke free lack of freedom as they start barring all your pleasures too. Oh yea, enjoy the poverty.
