i think it has to be both, and should i be correct, then oil pricing would stay high even when recession is full-on, because (i) as long as the CBs print, 'speculators' will hoard, and (ii) as long as paper market is undisturbed somewhere, then folks will facilitate 'speculators' by offering physical storage for hoarded stuff (in this case, oil)

we know CBs, as long as they are not killed off (monetary reset time) will print, because that is their role and reason for being, and the empire, to sustain itself even as it dances the death spiral dance, must print

it is an old script, fiat money inflation fraud, and it generally plays out the same way, with most engulfed by the flames of inflation, and then fires of deflation
