There is no way the US can drill its way out of oil addiction. We have known this for decades. Even if you destroyed every single wilderness area, wildlife refuge, marina sanctuary and national park (as many on the right lust to do) it would hardly make any difference. In fact, it would decimate our country's standard of living for generations to come. In fact5 maybe permanently because we cannot replace God's greatest natural creations which drilling all over the place would destroy. (remember the Exxon Valdez) No, the only way now is to forsake oil addiction and to invent, create and fund totally new energy sources which do not include lining the pockets of Exxon, the Saudis and Iranians.
