No interest? Are you kidding me? Do you know how much Investor interest we are getting with a 2% risk-free rate? You need to differentiate between the buy-side and sell-side. The biggest earners in finance last year were hedge fund managers who were bearish on real-estate and who shorted the ABS/ABX. This year many managers have been short monoline CDS and Bank stocks/CDS while long commodities. The weak always get chopped up in the business, that's the way it works.
