have no problem with attacking Michelle if she's campaigning for herself or others, nor to unsavory facts being disseminated as long as they are true facts and not fabrications or innuendo. It's not that I can't discriminate between fact and innuendo, but that I think unfounded innuendo hurts our side more than it helps

Sounds like you're buying into the "we have to be nice" game that McCain inartfully tried to play and which Obama is relying on to give himself a pass on all his inadequacies.

That piece about "Scarlett" was obvious hyperbole, but "Scarlett" certainly opened that can of worms and, as usual, Obama threw a supporter under the bus.

People inferred that Hillary would run for President long before she stopped being First Lady. She then demurred to such suggestions for years until she finally threw her hat in the ring. Michelle Obama is another Hillary, imo. Political aspirations are written all over her actions, verbiage, and demeanor.

These are public figures. Voluntary public figures.

While, in general, I agree that political commentary should be factual, I don't think McCain or the Republicans would be doing themselves any favors to hold back on the Obamas. That's what the Obamas are counting on. Obama himself is certainly no stranger to nasty comments. He just cloaks them in the mantle of victimhood.

Now that the subject has moved from Mrs. Obama to Scarlett Johansson, I will end my participation in this exchange.
