Btw, the south pole is warming as well. That's why sea ice has increased.

They seem to feel that NASA, the US Academy of Sciences, the USGS, the IPCC are all hysterics pushing an agenda. Elsewhere in the world people tend to take a more objective view.

You have it exactly backwards. "Follow the money." All of the above get big bucks from Congress, the UN, etc, for Global Warming. No Global Warming, no bucks. So they go along to get along.

It's interesting, all the emotion this topic generates.

I'll tell you what's emotional. When people can't afford to fuel their cars or heat their houses or feed their families, then they do tend to get emotional.

I'll think you'll find as the above scenario becomes more and more prevalent, you'll find less and less concern for the well being of a few desert squirrels and baby penguins and theoretical "catastrophes" occurring 100 years down the road.

And as people become more aware of the fact that so called "solutions" to supposed "man made global warming" means incurring ever greater expenses and lowering of living standards, for what at most will be negligible effects on the global climate, then you'll find real emotion, and not of the sort that the AlGore red/greenie crowd will find pleasant...

It's a matter of trust.

Conservatives are pretty good at spotting a scam when they see one, and are, by nature.......sceptics.

A lot of what is being said and done about this tragic catastrophe that is suddenly going to engulf the planet if we don't start living like cave men and give all of our hard earned money to the leaders of the true believers..........the saviors or messiahs or what ever they think they are.....hasn't been proven..

Who do you trust sea?

No emotion from me, a little common sense and the will to stand up to liars.

Man made global warming is a hoax, the idea that we are to blame and can fix it by moving back into caves and driving golf carts. I lived through the last hoax, the "Next Ice Age" in the 70s. Or was it the "Great Depression of 1990"? No wait, it was the Ehrlich "population bomb"? All idiots.

I would propose one good volcano would wipe our every stupid idea the snake oil salesmen say we need to implement immediately.

Interesting you think opposition is only an American trait. You might want to review the current uprisings against the hysteria that are occurring in Britain and Germany.

The only hysteria I see results from the snake oil salesmen being called on their bluff.
