What surprises me is that people feel better if they are reliant on other countries both for their oil, and for the refining of it.... Why is that? Another world war would take care of that stupidity in a heartbeat! Actually, AQ and other terrorist groups must feel really good right now.... We, ourselves, along with the help of our elected officials over the last 40 years have only to look at who voted for new capability so we could use our own resources, and who didn't want us to have that capability. Directly, those are the very people who should bear the brunt of the very direct cost of events today. They have caused people to be out of work, crops to be taken out to use for energy, forgetting about the fact that the US has fed more than half of the world's peoples in the past....and used OUR energy to do that!
