In the earlier days of my son's Navy career, he'd write home and address the envelope "Bert and Gert". His idea of being funny. And, we always got a chuckle from it.

Toward the end of his 20 years, the internet replaced the mail and he was able to log on even while aboard the aircraft carrier on the other side of the world. That was the end of Bert and Gert.
