Look at what has been discussed here. OCS, ANWR. That is really expensive oil to produce. That is all we have to look forward to.

And the worst part........going forward, we're going to experience shortages in other commodities as well. In the past year, one of the more surprisingly resilient products during this slowdown has been steel inspite of the fact the American auto production has fallen off a cliff. Steel production has remained at very high levels with demand not slowing down. How long can we maintain that pace before we start running short of iron ore? Does anyone know? And iron ore is not one of the rarer metals.

The world is entering a new era and you have twits like Brumar and inoys worried that someone will upset their precious capitalism; that someone might actually make it fairly difficult for them to drive their precious SUVs. I would laugh if the issues weren't so serious.
