The nuclear winter stuff was before my time, kind of dim. So I just googled it.

Ah yes, the Carl Sagan thing. I remember watching re-runs of his show as a girl. I thought he was cute at the time.

Well Lindy, two things. First, was it ever disproved? You cite the Kuwait oil fires, but somehow that seems to pale in comparison to 50 thousand nukes going off around the planet. Second (more importantly), was it ever seriously studied to begin with? In googling it, I don't see scientific citations. It appears to have more a hypothesis (or PR stunt) than anything else. So I'm not sure it's comparable to GW, which has been massively studied by many entities.

As we've PM'd before, I suspect we're just going to have to wait 20 years to see how this plays out. And I've already promised you a steak dinner if I'm wrong, which I fully expect you to be around to collect. So you really have nothing to complain about.
