Blaming speculators for $4 gasoline is a bunch of crap. Lying politicians trying to find a scapegoat. The deliberate trashing of the dollar by the Fed to bail out their Wall Street buddies is a MUCH more important factor fueling surging gasoline prices than speculators. Threatening war against Iran -- a bipartisan enterprise -- also has contributed mightily to surging oil prices. But pleasing AIPAC is much more important to our political class than helping average Americans suffering severe economic storms.
