SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice insisted Saturday that U.S. beef is safe to eat and urged South Koreans to accept their government's decision to lift a ban on the products.

Agree that something has to be done about our elected representatives being owned by big money. Like all those congressmen and senators who helped pass the big pharma bill and then got top jobs in the pharma industry. I am all for profits, but the government could have negotiated prices.
The good news is something that did not happen: privatization of Social Security. The investment banksters would have used our SS money to plug all the holes in their leaking balance sheets by buying CDOs or worse. Jail would have been too good a punishment.
