It wouldn't matter if she were 6 feet wide and 20 feet tall. Aside from electoral negatives offsetting any positives, it would be giving up a sure Senate seat. Jacob Javits (R) held the other Senate seat (Schumer's seat) until 1981 and then Alfonse D'Amato held it until 1999 after beating Javits in the 1980 primary.

Tarado, it's about Bill..he just won't pass vetting..it's also about the oppo research folder that the Repubs have been building for years up until recently..That recent Vanity Fair piece was an appeteaser for what's out there on Bill...And it's also about indies..polls have been showing that he loses them to McCain with Hillary on the ticket. Really a shame.. Seeing both Barack and Hillary on the stage yesterday elicited an image of Obama being the one male in power that does right by her..if she realizes that with him there's no need to be indirect, that she can be upfront and must be upfront re: leading on health care reform, for example..Obama won't upstage her and won't sabotage her efforts...He'll let Hillary be the star... I hope she divorces Bill on November 6th..best thing she can do for herself..
