OPEN LETTER TO MR.OBAMA
I find it deeply disturbing that Canada who was there with open arms in 911 and took in the grounded planes loaded with Americans with no question to the safety for ourselves. We also put the Americans up in your homes and fed them, during the boarder shut down.I was with the Fire Services and we fed the American bound truckers lined up in fields by the thousands at no cost for food to them at the boarder. If Canada was attacked during 911 instead of America,Iam sure the Americans would have done the same for Canadians and welcomed us with open arms.

I do not want any thanks from the US or ask for any,Why?Because its what you do for your best friend.

Mr. Obama should stop and ask in an energy crisis, who is our best friend? I can tell you the answer is not Iran, with who you are willing to hold talks with the President who hates Americans.

I only ask for respect for Canada.Mr Obama we are not your enemy,we are your best friend.Don't turn Canada into your enemy, you already have enough of them in around world.

James Flannigan

Stuck on Stoopid... listening to the rhetoric about boycotting "dirty" Canadian oil, one cannot help but conclude that America is a nation of fools, nay, mewling, spoiled brats intoxicated by their shortlived victory in History's Lottery, which is growing longer in the tooth by the hour. i have not thought much of Obama's intelligence since he whored himself to ethanol. it will be interesting to see if he and Clowngress really dump the oil sands.

Canada will be majorly pissed off, and will greenlight a pipeline to BC. within two years the idiocy of Obama and Clowngress' highhandedness will be hard for even Americans to ignore, as we find ourselves increasingly beholden to Saudis and Chavez, who have no standards to begin with.

let's just hope this doesn't eventually lead to a US invasion of Canada to capture the dirty oil within a decade -ng-.

America is the most clownish nation in the world, but not for long. remember TL/EV--tough love and economic violence? time for Act II.

cc, have you seen anything about these obama comments about canadian oil sands anywhere other than in IBD last week? i have been trying to find some follow-up articles, but i have found nothing so far. nafta/oil sands wedge seems like easy money for mccain, but i haven't heard him or his campaign say anything about it. thanks.
