What bothered me about it was the fact it was essentially a party line decision. Yes - I thought these guys/gals are supposed to be non-political. How easily they toss USA citizen rights aside and grant them to foreigners - perhaps they should have decided if foreign fighters have a right to arm themselves and shoot american troops in self defense of course. :-) The problem isn't that they are partisan ideologues but rather than your's and inoys interpretation of the amendment isn't as clear as you all think it is.
