Sadly, I missed my 50th reunion. I was "paid up" and really ready to attend. But, my mother was scheduled for back surgery that morning and I was her ride. The doctor, who had previously never kept an appointment on time, did this one the same way. It was so late when he released her that I had no chance of getting cleaned up and downtown for the dinner. But, we also had a breakfast the next morning, which I was able to make. I just love these get togethers as these are true, lasting friends.
