John, you should see Vancouver these days....Amazing, to say the least! There are some areas where there are people who are visibly poor, but these numbers are not huge, from the looks of the property where people live.

Some have moved down to the States, I'm sure. A good way to see the "face" of an area, is to go to the local Costco, and jus hang around in the food area. You will see pretty quickly all sorts of things. Go on a Sunday afternoon. Then on a different Sunday, go to your nearest Wal-Mart and/or Sams.

And please note I haven't said anything, nor do I mean anything about "the poor vs the rich"..... One grandmother used to say she was poor (and she was in money), but she taught us that we could ALWAYS afford soap and water. Some of the people I'm speaking of should have had her as a teacher.

You can judge a book by its cover, especially if it's a first edition owned by the original owner.
