our founding fathers knew this was the problem. That's why separation of powers. they just didn't foresee the
"living constitution" and the power of the judiciary.

I'm like Peggy Noonan. I didn't leave the party. they left me.

Rove and Bush moved the party to the left, in some misguided hope they were forging the "new Republican majority."

Pardon me while i have a hysterical laughing fit. I signed on for smaller government and less taxes. Instead i get the biggest increase in government spending since LBJ.

The only good thing i can say about Bush '43 is he didn't back down on the war. That's got nothing to do with what i think about his starting it in the first place or how he's run it.

Liquidity is still the number one problem. there isn't any. I'm no economist, but things are gonna get a lot worse. if it wasn't for the Supreme Court nominees, I'd say let the demos have this election cycle. Let them be blamed when the painreally starts.

McCain's an idiot, but at least he believes in some things. Obama is latte leftist opportunist who only believes in his own advancement. And I'm a grump, but I'm really worried.

Talk to me when the DOW 10000.

"Acton's disease"

An idle thought. Wonder how many of the sub-50 crowd, be they janitors or latte-sloshers, would recognize your reference. Or be able to apply it in current context.
