I doubt anyone on this thread gets SS, even the retired ones. Because of their savings, interest income and capital gains any SS they get is taken away because of their incomes.

Are you insane? I've retired from one job already and I'm still working at another. What makes you think anybody on this tread is counting on SS FOR ANYTHING. Come to think of it many on this thread may believe, as I do, that SS may not even be around when we're of age to collect, at least not in its present form. Last but not least, since I've been paying into the fricken system ALL MY ADULT LIFE, WTF makes you think that I don't deserve at LEAST as much money as I paid into SS? If you're a doctor as you've said in the past, then I must be CEO of Pfizer........ If you're representative of doctors in this country, with the fuzzy logic you've shown us, it's no wonder we have issues with healthcare in this country. The only doctor that you are is a doctor of douchebaggery.......... But I don't mean that in a negative way....<ggg>
