But really, the universe is made of energy and there's no shortage of it. So we could set huge spaces to the temperature we want if we could get the energy at the right price. Insulation and management of incoming sunlight is probably the best way to do that, rather than burning carbon.

Now that makes more sense.... In climates like the US east coast or east Asia some kind of system to store the heat falling on buildings from all that sun in the summer underground and take it out in the winter would be great. A high tech version of the Iranian windtowers.
