Prolly. I was white trash living near Arroya Beach. Still, representative of Puget Sound then.

Neeka, I'm talking the late 40's, early 50's. And that's how it was then. Stayed occasionally at an Unc's in Kirkland. Dunno if raw sewage was a problem then and there, but the lake is considerably cleaner now.

Came back in '72, watched a 20 or 24"" dia. raw sewage outfall just after the noon break, at a pier or two north of Ivar's during low tide. Yup, It is definitely cleaner now.
