wow thats pretty amazing. makes me feel better even though I am not going to hit my target rate of return for this quarter for sure. I wonder what the difference is between whitman and third avenue fund though.

Sorry for crossposting from Value Investing thread, but I believe that the numbers are at least partially incorrect and thus misleading. So here is a repeat:

Maybe they should learn to count. TAVFX price 6 months ago is 62. 12 months ago: 64. Now it's 50.44 and I don't account for any distributions. How do they get -40% in 6 months and -34% in 12 months is beyond me. Maybe they annualize the 6 month loss, but even then it's not correct for 12 months.

Yahoo numbers look much more correct: quote.yahoo.com

I did not check their other numbers, but IMHO, this throws a very significant doubt on the rest being correct. So please check before making any investing or other decisions based on the list. :)
