You're willing to risk Obama lose so he can stay high minded and pure, according to your standards re: conservation, during the most momentous election campaign in 40 years?..

I'm not..........................

Tejek:Please don't make excuses for Obama. Demand the very best and you will get the very best!

koan: tejek, we have been demanding the best for 30 years and got a bunch of neo cons who have robbbed the ocuntry and given the money to the rich and torn apart our soical system. Obama needs to win this election and may have to make existential decisions none of us like.

We cannot lose this one, or you will be fighting a fascist supreme court until you are my age-lol. If the neo cons do not destroy the earth first.

This is a fight for the survival of the earth we are talking about.

"When you think and live conservation, you wouldn't allow a quick jaunt such as the one M. Obama did to even enter your thinking other than in an emergency"

Bull; that's the same argument the deniers use against Gore. Ignores the fact that the good outweighs the bad. Would China respond to Gore if he stayed in a cave and sent them e-mails? You can use it against me, too. Tomorrow, I'm gonna burn 5 gal to drive to work for a meeting on energy. Big waste, lots of CO2. Balanced, hopefully, by the thought that I will convince the PTB to adopt an entire energy conservation program, from turning off lights to going solar and co-generation. Should I stay home, or do the benefits outweigh my contribution to destroying the atmosphere and burning thru the last of the gas?

>>I ain't buying it<<

You missed it. You missed who was at that luncheon. The importance of winning over Hillary's supporters. And EMILY's List supporters, and very high on that list is Ellen Malcolm.

Did you pay attention to the name Ellen Malcolm in the reports of that lunch and speech?

It was not just worth it, but important to demonstrate how important and what priority Michelle (and Barack and the campaign) places on their issues and their concerns.

She was not just there to speak for 7 minutes and have a bite to eat. She was there to listen, and to build support. Not just for the campaign, but for the Administration.
