It is pretty different.

That's nuance as Ten would say.

Military service should be a positive... but the Dems seem to have learned from the sleazy Reps that you attack strength not weakness.

You never thought that the crap that your creepy 527's pitched would come back and bite you? Tough shit. You get down in the gutter you can expect to get dirtied.

Frankly you are lucky you are up against Obama, who has a sense of dignity. Bush did nothing to stop the sleaze balls, in fact probably got people to fund them.

McCain is, by any reasonable measure, a war hero. If the act of being shot down and serving 5 long years in the Hanoi Hilton doesn't qualify him, his refusal to take advantage of an opportunity to leave early because of who he was, does.

McCain took the most cowardly position in the military - air force. He bombed civilians and took on minimal risk to himself. When he got very unlucky and that minimal risk actually materialized, he didn't take one for the team. Instead, he gave crucial military secrets to the enemy to avoid torture.

Can you imagine, in your wildest dreams, Obama doing such a selfless thing?

Yes, I can imagine Obama going to help poor people after receiving his Ivy League diploma instead of cashing his diploma in for a lucrative Wall Street job. It's easy to imagine because it happened.
