He ran as a "dutiful soldier." A far cry from "The New Soldier" that he wrote about in his own book ... amazon.com ... which Kerry actively tried to pull from the shelves of book stores and Amazon.com. Kerry was trying to be somebody he wasn't, probably because the image of hippie veterans holding an upside down flag wouldn't have sold well back in 2004.
