See that's the problem. Kerry didn't run as an anti-war veteran. He ran as a "dutiful soldier." A far cry from "The New Soldier" that he wrote about in his own book ...

Kerry was trying to be somebody he wasn't, probably because the image of hippie veterans holding an upside down flag wouldn't have sold well back in 2004. Basically what the Swiftvets did was expose the real Kerry. A far cry from what those on the left thirsting for revenge are trying to do against McCain.
